Minutes And News 2.9.03

In attendance were: Linda Kowalczyk, Avis Saville, Barb Correa, Dale & Carolyn Kern, Sue & Spencer Schmidt, Ann & George Schmidt, Nancy & Jeff Hix, Andrea & Pat Perry, Jacqui Adler, Kay Stemnock

At this meeting:

We started out by talking about "Extend-A-Forks" and "Double-Dipping". Linda brought color photos of "Pub Grub". Avis says "No thank you" to those pieces. We talked about the "Fluffy" club piece promo and having to buy two years worth of club kits to get Fluffy. Linda talked (once again) about how she found and bought "Have A Heart" for $27.50. Andrea finally showed up with the "Stuck behind a train" excuse. Yeah, right. Then we discussed HBC's balls. Candle Time! We looked at and distributed some HBC candles and we tested one out. Someone keeps talking about a hedgehog's penis. Linda told us that we collected $1906.00 for our two charities for last year. Great job HMW! Now someone is talking about a carrot with a penis that was on ebay. We decided on our new Charities for 2003: 1) Fried's Cat Shelter will remain our choice for animal charity. 2) Friends of Battered Women & Their Children will remain our people charity. 3) A Refuge For Saving The Wildlife, Inc. will be our 2nd animal charity. They take care of abandoned and injured parrots. Pat & Linda are telling stupid jokes. This time, none of them included the word penis. Carolyn thought it might be fun to set herself on fire by sticking her arm over the lighted HBC candle. So then, Linda decided to roast a marshmallow over the candle flame. Our next Meeting will be March 9, 2003.
